Shhhh… can you hear that rumbling? Welllll probably not, it’s pretty far away, but if you were a mere 30 km to the North you might hear a stampede! A quick trip North from here and you might get lucky enough to catch a rare glimpse of naturally grazing Bison!
Take a hike through Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, or just drive up to the viewing area for the opportunity to see animals native to this area such the bison, the great blue heron and the whitetail deer! Speaking of Whitetail deer, they can easily be distinguished by their reddish-brown coats and the white underside of their tail, but you can only see that at certain times.
When do you think the white underside of their tail is visible?

B) Try to seduce a mate or
C) Want to say hello?
The correct answer is…A! When the whitetail deer senses danger, the white underside of their tail becomes visible as they wag it around!
