If you’re just starting the tour, you just passed Hunstville, the largest town in the Muskoka Region! If you’re just finishing, your about to see it. The Toronto Star ranked Huntsville as the #1 place to take a summer trip in 2011!

 

For those math wizes listening, you probably realized that’s a few years ago now. Well, I can tell you from personal experience that it’s still a pretty awesome place for a trip!

The natural environment and resources make Huntsville a gorgeous destination, drawing people from all around the world. and back in 2010, people from all around the world did come to Huntsville as it hosted the G8 Summit. 

 

If I haven’t sold you on the summer trip yet, keep listening. Hunstville is ripe with natural beauty, from beautiful and serene lakes, to trees, vegetation, wildlife, rock outcroppings, rivers… ah… it gets me excited just talking about it! The Huntsville area is where the "Group of Seven" Canadian artists frequently painted their incredible artwork. 

 

Still skeptical? Well Keith Bellows, editor in chief of National Geographic Traveler and vice-president of the National Geographic Society, has included Huntsville in his book 100 Places That Can Change Your Child's Life.   It's also a place where exciting resorts and lodges offer incredible entertainment...in fact, a very famous entertainer was discovered in Huntsville...who do you think it was?
