This very pretty little area celebrates some of our bravest citizens, and the end of our tour!

Memorial Garden’s Provincial Park is the province’s tiniest park, but it’s not too small for scrub soccer games, frisbee matches, yoga and all kinds of fun events.

Although it’s only 2 hectares of green space, (that’s about .02 km), it can be a very busy place, filled with people taking advantage of Winnipeg’s sunshine. Did you know that, in spite of the bad rep our climate gets, Winnipeg's actually one of Canada’s sunniest cities? It’s true! On average, we have more than 2300 hours of sunshine and over 2700 hours of clear blue skies every year.

This park is dedicated to heroes. If you take a look around, you’ll notice an impressive cenotaph, honouring lives lost overseas, 3 pillars commemorating the signing of the United Nations Charter, and special monuments remembering brave women who served, airmen in training and surveyors.

It's a quiet little thank you to some very big people.

That's it for the tour, so feel free to take your time and explore!

Thanks for joining me today, I sure hope you enjoyed your tour! If you liked it, please consider leaving us a review on the app store. It goes a long way in helping us get the word out to others!
